I'm as frustrated as many are with things that have been pointed out here and to MM that are not yet fixed, but sometimes MM listens. If I remember correctly, there was considerable hue and cry here a couple of years ago asking for linked parts. Even with the less that perfect implementation, and what for me is sometimes clumsy control of which items are linked/unlinked (maybe a result of imperfect understanding of the easiest way to control these elements), linked parts have been working well for my needs. If I were working with more sophisticated notation issues like cues and split staff parts, I'd be having the same difficulties that are being pointed out here. We can continue communicating with MM and press for these improvements.
