Because of the way I work in finale i often put notes in with their articulation, and then for some reason or other, that note gets changed to a rest, leaving the articulation. So for example, I get staccato eighth rests.

My question is twofold:

a. Is there a way to go through the score and using some kind of filter, delete any articulation attached to a rest, and only those ones? Can Finalescript accomplish something like this?

Not that I know of, unfortunately. Maybe some wizard here has another idea though.

I hope you know that with the Articulation tool selected, you can hold down the Delete key (might be Backspace on PC) and drag a rubber- band box across any notes at all to remove all articulations. This works between staves as well. It goes very quickly.

b. Is there a way from within Simple entry to remove an articulation, in a not dissimilar fashion to the way it was added?

I'm on Finale 2K9b, WindowsXP.

Sorry, not a Simple guy myself.
