It works without a MIDI keyboard in Speedy as well. The alphabetic
keypad takes the place of the MIDI keyboard.
Strangely, in 2009 Mac, I can't get the Caps Lock to work. I have
used this before, and it worked great. Does anyone know what I am
missing, or is it broken?

Thanks but I specified "without a MIDI keyboard"...

If you are using Speedy Entry, caps lock will lock the rhythm
value so all you have to do is play the pitches in on the MIDI
keyboard one at a time. Saves tons of keystrokes.

I have to transcribe a piece with a plenty of 16th's triplets in it.
The fastest way to do that without a MIDI keyboard?
Metatools?
As I never used a metatool before, can any kind soul deeply explain
how to do that?
Many thanks in advance
