I'm using an Edirol UA-4fx on my Inspiron 530 Tower and an Edirol UA-1EX on my Inspiron 1526 Notebook for all SoftSynths - both work great. :)

My computer is a Dell Insp. 518, Intel core2quad processor with 4 GB of RAM. The sound and graphics are "integrated" (i.e., there's no PCI sound card or graphics card). What do I need to add in order to use the Garritan instruments? A SoundBlaster card? Do PCI Card audio interfaces (e.g., M-Audio Audiophile 2496) cover the same ground? According to a booklet that came with my computer, it (the computer) has a PCI 2.3 slot, a PCI Express x1 slot and a PCI Express x16 slot, whatever that means. The Finale website says: "A soundcard (including a DirectSound AS20 recommended driver) is required for playing the Garritan sounds in Windows."
