There is improvement in Fin2010 in that importing a number of graphics
formats - jpg, gif, and compressed TIF straight out of MSPaint - are now
supported.

Uncompressed. If you open your file in Corel Draw, and use the "save
as" [note: not "save", nor the keyboard shortcut, or icon in the
toolbar] option to save the file as a ~.tif, you are likely to be
presented with a dialog box to select the compression mode for the
~.tif file. Select the option "none", and you should be able to import
the resulting file into a finale document.
