Delete the finale preferences file

I run Finale 2008 on an iMac, OS 10.5.8...up until this morning,
everything has been working fine. All of a sudden this morning, when
I try to launch Finale, it crashes on me. When I try to open a file,
or open the Finale application, it stops at "Initializing Floating
Windows", the I get the message "The Application Finale 2008 quit
unexpectedly".
I ran disk doctor to correct permissions, etc, and I still can't
open Finale 2008. Any suggestions? This is really unnerving!
