Got a question for the List:
I used the Set-Up Wizard to create a new orchestral score.
When I went through the various staff settings, after the
Wizard had done it's thing, I noticed that most of my winds were
assigned transpositions. This included the trombone and tuba as well
as oboe and flute.
Either I have gone about using the Wizard incorrectly, or Finale
thinks that flute is a transposing instrument.
This is one of my few ventures into the world of orchestral scoring
(I usually write for small ensembles) so I don't know what to expect.
I am using Finale 2K7 on a Macintosh.
I fixed the incorrect transpositions, but why did Finale behave this way?
