Good examples. The context controls. On the top staff you have dyads on single stems with single tremolos, and continuing that to the whole notes is perfectly clear. On the bottom staff you have stems-up and -down with two tremolos, and continuing it into the whole notes seems clearest. The middle staff is clear enough, I suppose, but less elegant because it breaks the pattern established in the previous measure (personal opinion, of course).
