I'm working from F07, so you're screens may be different, but I'm
wondering if you made changes to staff assignments in the instruments
window. On my system, there is a "window" drop down from the menu bar
which has a choice for the "instruments" window. That window has two
choices for "view". One is instruments and the other staves. If you
select the instruments window, then you have to option to add
instruments and assign them to midi channels and such. Did you do
that step in addition to making changes in the SoftSynth setup?
As to the harpsichord sound, I'm of no use.
