mmmmmmmm, could it be that there are now 125 staves (and growing) in the document? i discovered that i don't have this prob in page view or in staff sets (no more than 16 or so staves in each), i seem to only have the problem in scroll view with "all staves" showing.
what might be causing this? the file is only slightly larger than before, 2.2 instead of 2MB.
