Thanks to all who responded to my original request. Bitter experience has taught me never, ever, to upgrade the OS on any given computer. In any event, recent versions of the Mac OS require an Intel microprocessor, so I'd have to buy a whole new computer, plus all-new apps to go with it. If I could somehow do this via an accessory hard drive, I'd do it--but I don't think that's possible, is it?
