The person asking you to do the work should specify the format. It should be a lossless format (EPS, GIF, TIF, PNG) not one of the lossy ones (JPG). But which is best should be determined by the person asking for it. The resolution should be determined by the print output resolution unless it's EPS. 600dpi should be sufficient, but it does depend somewhat on how the graphics are going to be embedded. > Is there no standard at all?
