Hi David, 2.60 is what I am using, and it works in 2011 (It has had some adjustments by Tobias). For whatever reason, there is no more recent version number. Never mind. It works.

As long as there are sun breaks for part of the day, I am fine, and Margot is not a fan of burning sun. In any case, it's far milder than what we weathered in the east. > > I hear Portland is a grand town to live in, with wonderful neighborhoods, > walkable downtown, good public transit, lots of great restaurants, lots of > culture. Hope you are finding it such. Exactly so, and we found a comfortable - even luxurious apartment in a terrific location that takes advantage of all of those things. (The town is overbuilt with luxury condos that haven't sold and have become rentals, and we found a good one.) We hardly use our car. > You going to play your bass more now? I have had a few gigs - some OK, a couple not so hot, but that's how it is when you want to play. If you start turning down gigs because you're picky, no one calls. So it will take some time before I can establish a level of comfort with the music scene here. It is, however, welcoming. I have started an octet/nonet and am finding some good players. But the Northwest is not a place where people go far out of their way to commit to musical activity. The players are 100% cooperative and eager when they are rehearsing - enthusiastic and inspired by the music, then they have trouble rousing themselves from their routine to make it a regular activity. It's a cultural resistance, and I am working to overcome it. > Any touring? When people ask, I am ready, but it doesn't happen often. I go to Europe at least once a year and find a little work, but there's not much here. I did find a terrific pianist in Tel Aviv last November - Alec Katz. And playing with him is particularly satisfying, not because there are wild surprises, but because he has a deep vocabulary, swings (as does the drummer, Yonatan Rosen) and uses form well. He thinks about music as I do, and I hardly ever find that. You, and anyone else who's curious can find an evening's worth of music here: http://homepage.mac.com/cisraels/filechute/Milestone%20Shuni%20-%20Live.zip If I could find people here who played my "language" that well, I'd be a happy guy. Alec is a Ukrainian/Israeli. Who'd have guessed that he'd show such depth in American jazz? Thanks for being interested and, to the rest of the list, apologies for the digression.
