Portland welcomes you and we, the musicians, hope that you'll enjoy being here and find lots of work.
The main reason I'm replying is to make certain you're aware of the jimmymaks on tenth av North of Powell's used book store? The Mel Brown Quartet is performing there on Wednesday's: http://www.jimmymaks.com/ A wonderful group of musicians who constantly challenge each other and the audience. Did you work with David Peck in Bellingham? I was at the University of Oregon while he was there a while in the mid seventies. I've first became aware of your playing in the early sixties because of the magic of Bill Evans and your recording with him.
