Hi J D, Sorry to hear you are having some issues with Finale 2007 and OS X 10.6. Finale 2007 does have some major compatibility issues running on 10.5 and 10.6 due to changes Apple made in OS X from 10.4 to 10.5/10.6, which Finale 2007 was not designed for since OS X 10.5 was released about a year after Finale 2007 was.
We added 10.5 support with Finale 2008 and 10.6 support with Finale 2010. Unfortunately authorization issues are a common for people trying to get Finale 2007 to run on OS X 10.5 and 10.6. Some users encounter worse situations than others. To avoid these issues, I would suggest running a version of Finale that is supported and designed for your OS. I know it can be frustrating to upgrade your OS and discover older programs that are not supported in the environment. Our technical support department will certainly reset any authorizations if needed so you can try again, but unfortunately we cannot force the software to work in an environment it was not designed to run in.
