I'm curious as to why the hard space is necessary. Why not just type the last syllable in the normal place, then spacebar over to the LAST note, then type comma? The word extension would normally end on the SECOND LAST note, so it can be manually dragged over to end just before the comma. I guess you know, Daniel, that this is not normal notation, so I won't second-guess you on why you need to do it this way.
