Giz: While my first inclination would be to echo the suggestion of those suggesting addition of a hard drive, it doesn't answer your question. As far as I can tell (and I'll admit here that I've not yet upgraded to 2012), you can probably safely decline to install Garritan instruments and the Aria player without losing any Finale functionality, although of the two, the largest is probably the Garritan instruments library. I'd guess the Aria player is small enough to not make much difference. The other things that one might choose not to install are, again, small enough not to make much difference in the final analysis.
