Reposting - two of my three posts on the passing of David Fenton came through (to me, at least) as blank e-mails. So, retrying, first of two below:
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][] I'm so sorry to hear this news. Yes, David could be brusque to the point of maddening frustration, but his passion for and knowledge of music were both immeasurable. I learned much from him - mostly from his responses/posts to others here. I regret that I offered my gratitude only on a couple of occasions when he provided information to my direct requests. Sorry we never had the chance to meet in person; equally sorry I never had the chance to hear him MAKE music. Our loss.
