In the linked part, just create a new group of the piano staves. If you're
using FinMac, select the handle of both piano staves, press the Option and
Shift keys, and click one of the selected handles. I'm sure there's a
similar process on FinWin.
You should be able to reduce the staff size of the vocal line in the piano
part without affecting the score. You should be able to optimize that staff
out when not needed.
