Katherine asked why she couldn't see the circle enclosure she'd defined for 
her "1" expression.  I'm simply pointing out that even though she had 
defined it properly, she won't see the enclosure in the expression selection 
panel, just the text.  For some reason the enclosure is not shown there, it 
only appears around the text when she places the expression in the score.

Let's say you make two similar text expressions, e.g. "A", and you define an 
enclosure around just one of them and leave the other unenclosed (or you 
define a circle round one and a rectangle round the other), you can't 
determine which is which in the selection panel - you will only see the two 
unenclosed As.

Katherine knows how to see the enclosure in the definition pane - that isn't 
what she wants to know and doesn't really answer her question.
