I'm hoping someone has figured out an efficient way of dealing with group names in recent versions of Finale (2011 and 2012).
For instance, if I want to customize the positioning of a group name on a single system, in the middle of the score -- let's say from mm.250-255 of a 500-measure score -- the only way I can see to do that is: 1) Edit the group attributes and switch from "All Measures" to Measures 1 to 249. 2) Add a new group, from measures 250-255, re-enter the abbreviated staff name, click the "Position" checkbox, and enter the desired custom positioning. 3) Add a *third* group, from measures 256 to 500, that has the same abbreviated staff name and positioning as the first group. This procedure gets *really* tiresome very quickly, especially if you need a lot of custom group name positioning. Isn't there some way to move a group name on a single system only, without affecting the rest of the score? This used to be quite simple in earlier versions of Finale, before they got rid of the "Optimize" feature.
