there is an issue (documented) with applying staff styles via the context menu. sheeeeit, sorry i should have mentioned this before, but in my head and practice i had already switched to using metatools to apply styles.
from support: "Refrain from using the context menu you are going to be clearing the staff style and switching between views. [...] The problem you were running into was relegated to hiding with a staff style, switching view, and clearing the selected staff style." i don't know if the problem you are having has anything to do with this issue, in my case i was getting "ghost staves" that doubled some content from a flute staff and generating PTs from either created an empty part !!! in any case, support suggests not using the context menu (yeah great solution) to apply staff styles. removing staff styles via "remove selected items" (instead of the staff tool context menu) is not a problem. _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [email protected] http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
