32,767 frames is the max (is listed in the file integrity results). 
i haven't been able to figure out what happens when you go over, i 
was copying batches of measures downwards and the result was some 
weird patchwork, some measures were copied, some weren't.  i honestly 
don't know if it erases existing materials or not when you hit the 
limit... i sure hope not [here jef sweats profusely just *thinking* 
about it].

splitting was the only option for me.  got as much as possible done 
before doing it (rough layout of PTs, all final corrections to the 
existing materials).  and kept the percussion, pno, hp and solo vc 
lines complete in the 1st half of the score, since they are more 
problematic for layout / cleanup of the PTs than single-staff 
instruments.

can you run the PI on sections where there are "normal" measures?

i am still getting the message as well, but it is entirely possible 
there is a dot or rest missing somewhere in the SC, so i am ignoring 
the message and hope to find those errors in the PTs.

BTW linked parts have no effect on the frame limit.
