Hi Robert,

Data Check is set to run every time I open a document, and it does not say 
anything about frame limits. It only returns the quote I mentioned originally: 
"The file may be missing a few notes or rests. We suggest you proofread..." etc.

I actually seem to have (knock on wood) solved the problem by deleting an 
unused scratch staff. Hopefully it does not recur, and hopefully I can catch 
any missing notes during (yet another) round of proofing.
