Is it really true that the clef in a part can't be unlinked from the clef in the score? There's a legitimate need for this, e.g., a bassoon or trombone staff shared by 2 parts, both of which in the score are in tenor clef (to save space), but the lower voice in the part should be in bass clef (for readability). Not that common, but when you need it, you need it.
And what about a passage using 8va in the score, but written at pitch in the part? This sometimes happens in high flute and violin parts. Is this possible? -Lee Lee Actor Composer-in-Residence and Assistant Conductor, Palo Alto Philharmonic http://www.leeactor.com _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu http://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
