I can't answer regarding color information inside a font (although I doubt it, since many programs easily let you print any font in any color). But if you want to define different colors to different items, depending on just what you mean by that, you can already do that in Finale. You can define the on-screen colors for different layers, for different types of items, etc. and then you can simply choose to print in color. If you aren't thinking of families of items (such as all expressions in green, all articulations in orange, etc.) then I'm afraid I can't help. -- David H.
