Yes. Thanks !!! By "turn off", I assume you mean to click on the mute button on the Chords line. That's what I did and it does exactly what I need.
Looking back at the documentation, it does show this pulldown, but I never really made that connection because there isn't a specific "chord playback" setting, which is what I was looking for. On a more general note, I have been a bit skeptical of the human playback. At times, I feel like they hype this too much because it isn't practical to make a score sound very realistic. But on this project, I have invested the time to get upgraded to Garritan JABB V3 and learn about a few more settings, like the mute keyswitches. My score wouldn't feel anybody into thinking it is a live band, but I have found some cases where the more realistic playback has identified errors that I didn't hear with simple MIDI playback. And moreover, the sounds are realistic enough to get a better sense of what voicings will work the best. There are loads of bugs in this area. Such as: - If I do switch back to MIDI (which I thought I would do temporarily), it destroys all my Aria setups. - Playback does not chase through the score to apply the keyswitches. If you have mutes in one area and then start the playback in another area that is supported to be open horn, it may play the mute sound. - Other weird things that I haven't been able to narrow down to cause/effect I am an optimist that some of these bugs will be cleaned up in the 2014 version. But if it is really an extensive rewrite ... well, I don't even want to think about the implications.
