Instead, use my Mass Copy plugin to copy that tie to all the subsequent measures with one click. (Although you may end up adjusting them anyway if the bars are different lengths, so never mind.) Personally I always use meas-attached slurs for 2nd-ending ties and any other situation that requires "ties" that aren't attached to actual notes on both ends. They are easier to keep horizontal than the normal note-attached slurs and they are easier to edit and control in every other respect as well.
