Keep in mind that Finale 2014 shipped with a re-written and modern file format, new audio engine, in-app updating, and significant progress on a Macintosh conversion from Carbon to Cocoa on OS X. MakeMusic is in a much better position now to be able to act on customer feedback for new features and improvements on existing ones, as the platform itself will be able to sustain and support those needed changes.
