hi ryan, compared to the lozenge used for harmonics in Maestro, the one in neueweise Notes: - has higher top/bottom points - has thicker sidebars - has better curves on the outer form - has a width that is identical to quarter note (Maestro lozenge is 6% smaller than its quarter notehead) - is designed with a specific relation to staffline positioning - is 28% wider - is 33% higher
therefore when using neueweise Notes (as opposed to Maestro): - the lozenge is remarkably more visible in reduced scores or bad lighting - the centre does not "fill in" when on a line and printed at reduced percentages on inkjet :-) - stems sit in the same horizontal position for quarter note and lozenge noteheads - everything just looks sexier 8-) here is a side-by-side comparison at the same view percentage: http://newmusicnotation.com/TEMPFILES/neueweise_lozenge.pdf cheers, jef >How does the size of your lozenge (diamond note head) compare with Maestro? >(Found in the first column of the first row under Notes: >http://newmusicnotation.com/fonts/neueweise_charactercharts.pdf) -- NEW!!! neueweise -- fonts for new music and traditional notation shirling & neueweise | http://newmusicnotation.com new music notation + translation + arts management [FB] http://facebook.com/neueweise | [TW] http://twitter.com/neueweise _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu https://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale To unsubscribe from finale send a message to: finale-unsubscr...@shsu.edu
