Hi Chuck, You'd be far from the only one to disagree!
Maybe it's just Adobe brainwashing me, but I really hate seeing color in palettes. To my eye, that, it always looks cheap and distracting. I find the Fin2014 palette much cleaner, more attractive, and find the streamlined icons much easier to distinguish. More importantly, the fact that the palettes snap to edges, and the fact that Finale windows finally avoid them, make the Fin2014 a huge user interface improvement in my book. YMMV as they say, but I far prefer the new look.
