I have a Brother MFC-J6710DW multi-function inkjet that prints and scans up to 11x17. The MFC will save directly to a network location (FTP) as PDF, JPG, TIFF or whatever. As a printer, it will do 2-sided printing of 11x1y. And you can copy up to 11x17 too, of course.
I have a large format laser printer I normally use for music, but this MFC has saved my buns more than a few times. For under $500 it is a pretty good deal.
