BTW, I always make copies of my preferences as soon as I build them, saving them in the same place (they are automatically labelled copy 1,2, 3 etc.). so in the now unusual instance that the preference file becomes corrupted, I needn’t rebuild it - just substitute one of the copies. (Of course, you have to rename the file without “copy” in the name.) My apologies if this seems like stating the obvious, but maybe it might help someone.
