The shortcut for Music Spacing is the 4 key in the Selection Tool. The shortcut for Beat Spacing is 5. They are quicker than mousing to the menu for me.
Sometimes I have beat markers in a measure for eighths and sixteenths when there are none in the music, probably because I changed my mind at some point, and they affect the evenness of the Music Spacing.
