I use "speedy" with a midi keyboard and find it's very, very quick for entering notes. Apparently the 'powers that be' at Finale much prefer "simple" but I just don'y see it myself. My biggest fear is that someday they'll dump "speedy".
I use templates that I've created for almost all my projects from a full symphony score, to big band, to piano trio.
