Some people want all three staves to always be present, others (like you in this instance) want to be able to hide the pedal staff. An organ part that has been created with the Setup Wizard or the Score manager will, by design, always show all three staves, but if you want you can edit it to make it possible to hide the pedal staff when it’s empty: - In the staff menu, go to Groups and Brackets > edit. - Note that there are two groups for the organ. The first group has an accolade and contains the top two staves. The second group has no accolade and is called Organ (all staves). - Change the hiding attribute of the second group to “Hide Normally”.
