Thank you, Jan.
I had an old backup of my various fonts and dragged them into the fonts
folder. They are present again, but some of the font files are 20 years old.
Since dragging them back from my archive, the fonts now work (including
character 142).
Meanwhile, I followed the instructions you provided (the fonts were already in
the MacSymbolFonts.txt, including special versions of fonts that I developed).
After doing all this, the Windows font installers (either MMFonts.msi and
MMFont_Win.exe) still fail ('ended prematurely' and 'might not have installed
correctly', respectively).
I also ran, as I had said, the Finale installer itself -- both the complete
program and with only the font package boxes checked. If I remove the old
fonts to be sure the package installs the new ones, it does not install any
the Finale fonts. I have to drag them back.
Which puts me back at: where do I get the fonts without the installer to be
sure I have the latest, correct versions?
Thanks,
Dennis
