The piece I’m doing has a new section beginning with a pick-up half-note. The
key changes on beat 3, as well. I want the double-bar to indicate this new
section.

Could you give me specifics about breaking the measure and changing the barline
with the time signature tool? I looked throughout it, and didn’t see any way to
do either of those things.

I have been able to split the measure using the Split Measure plugin, but it
allows only invisible or dotted barlines, not solid or double ones.

There are two ways I can think of: add a pair of lines with the line tool and
adjust it manually, or break the measure via the time signature tool and change
the barline as needed. But the latter will throw off your measure numbers
which will need adjustment.

But why do you need this? Just curious.

There must be a way to insert a mid-measure double barline in a score, but I
haven?t found it. I?m using Finale 26 for Mac. Any illumination welcome!
