As others, including myself, have suggested, split the first measure into two 2/4 bars. Exclude them from being included with the measure tool so it won’t affect your overall measure numbering scheme, whatever that may be.
Staying in the Measure tool, double-click on the half of the split measure you need. This brings up the Measure Attributes dialog where you can change the barline from the top row of the dialog to a double-bar. You can also use the options in the lower half of the same dialog to hide or show the time and key signature. It’s quite easy.
