Hi folks

I'm wanting to get xephem running.

I've copied the info and patch files from the unsupported directory and run "fink
install xephem". After an hour or so and a lot of activity I've been stopped with:

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
        tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors
        ### tar failed, exit code 2
Unpacking the tarball xephem-3.5.1.tar.gz of package xephem-3.5.1-1 failed.
The most likely cause for this is a corrupted or incomplete download. Do you
want to delete the tarball and download it again? [Y/n]
        rm -f /sw/src/xephem-3.5.1.tar.gz
        curl -L -O http://clearskyinstitute.com/xephem/xephem-3.5.1.tar.gz
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Curr.
Dload Upload Total Current Left Speed
        100 302 0 302 0 0 280 0 --:--:-- 0:00:01 --:--:-- 0
        tar -xvzf /sw/src/xephem-3.5.1.tar.gz

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format

Each time I run "fink install xephem" it now tries to redownload the tarball but
always gives the above message.

>From going in via iCab it looks like 3.5.1 doesn't exist but 3.5.2 does.

What's the next move? Can I (should I?) tell Fink to get the later version?

My preference is to keep using Fink, but I do see Xephem is available for download on
Apple's OS X site.

Cheers
