I'm trying fink for the first time, and can't seem to get anything. I'm interested in installing gmt, and another user said to use the command 'fink install gmt'

Here's what I get:

[dhcp-10-174:~] johnmarr% fink install gmt
sudo /sw/bin/fink install gmt

I've also tried the sudo dselect mode, but the whole thing seems opaque to me. I'm not sure what I've selected, and what I haven't

What is 'debian'? What is 'curl'? I don't remember asking for those.

thanks, John
