This is Murphy's law in full action :-) At the moment when fink wants to finalize the stable distribution for Jaguar, the sourceforge servers go down, so one cannot direct you to read the FAQ, nor can the texinfo package be updated. And the GNUies start to replace texinfo by a newer version without keeping a copy of the old version around.I tried other mirrors, but to no avail. What does this all mean?
If you know how to use tar and patch, you can get out of this rather quickly: Download the texinfo-4.3.tar.gz, unpack it, download the 4.2->4.3 patch, apply it in reverse and repack the result under the name /sw/src/texinfo-4.2.tar.gz. Fink should then be able to build it.
