Then you were lucky. C++ code from 10.1 is not supported on 10.2, and will cause weird issues not unlike what you're seeing. You will need to follow the jaguar upgrade process or do a 'fink update-all; fink selfupdate-cvs' and build everything, or wait for the 10.2 binary dist which is being built right now.
