hello all,
a few questions from a complete newbie:
i am presently on 10.1, but will be moving to 10.2 sometime in the near
future.
i would also like to build everything as opposed to dl binaries.
should i wait before doing anything until i have 10.2 and use 0.5.0a, or
should i just gun it
and start downloading stuff while still on 10.1., any reason to avoid
doing the latter?
i'm on a very limited internet connection down here in australia,
and i need to know approximately how big the ensemble of base packages
is,
which is ( as i understand it ) automatically dl'd by fink?
i looked all over the web site, but there does not seem to
be file size info anywhere, please point me to it if there is.
is there someplace i can get a hard copy of the whole distro?
if not, is any body out there willing to burn me one in exchange
for $$ or burned music or even a copy of the K&R C book?
thanks much,
c
