[Fink-beginners] Fink help wanted

Hi all,

I wanted to know whether it is possible to use fink to install packages that have been downloaded independently of Fink.
I prefer to download stuff at work because of the speed, and then bring it home on ZIP.
If someone could let me know if this is possible and how to do it because I am not very good at manually installling packages.
Fink and XDarwin are up and running comfortably on my OSX10.1.5 G4.
