For what it's worth, I recently: - upgraded to 10.2.3 from 10.2.1 (using software upgrade) - upgraded to the Dec. developers' tools release (downloaded and installed) - installed the latest version of Fink (0.5a I believe) - I DIDN'T have an earlier version installed - used Fink to install the x- binaries (rootless version) - downloaded and installed the Ouroborus window manager (designed specifically to have a mac-like interface) - installed freeciv - a game that uses the X interface > q. does it work yes > q. does it crash? no > q. is it stable? so far > q. are there problems with 10.2.3 Mac none so far Note: I have not installed anything fancy that runs under X (e.g. KDE or Gnome). ************************************************************************** The Center for Civic Networking PO Box 600618 Miles R.
