[Fink-beginners] ln -h not supported?

I have some shell scripts that use a -h option to ln. After installing the fileutils fink package the scripts stopped working complaining that -h is not a valid option. I checked the newly installed man page for ln and -h doesn't appear in it, though it does appear in the original man page as installed with 10.2.

Is the -h option to ln some kind of Apple extension to ln? Is the lack of support for this option in the FSF version intentional, or is it a bug?
