I have Apple's X11. Since my monitor has a dpi resolution of 96, and X-window insists in telling the applications it is 75.... where do I change that value, so that every time I start up X11, the screen dpi is 96?
If you start X11 from the command line, you can use the -dpi option:

  /Applications/X11.app/Contents/MacOS/X11 -dpi 96
Thank you very much, Martin. And thank you also on behalf of the list ;-) for all your kindful help.

I'm gonna combine this with the "wrapper script" you gave in Apple's X11 mailing list.
