I'm trying to install gnuplot. The version handled by fink is 3.8h.0 but it is now absent from the ftp site (the latest version available is 3.7.3 it seems). Is there a way to modify the .info and .patch files (and possibly other relevant files) or is this a dangerous thing to do? what would you recommend?
