Thank you, Alexander. It was such a simple problem!! I even read that
page when I was trying to figure out the problem. Obviously, I could not
read!! Sorry for the waste of bandwidth, guys.
I don't know how the permission on my CVS directory got screwed up. I
have installed Safari when it first came out (which is sometime between my
last update and this time). Don't know if that could have caused the
problem. I have also fixed the permission on the files on my disk when I
encountered this error. That obviously did not fix the problem. Oh, well.
